H.E. Ambassador Apostle Dr. Melinda Becks, also known as Ambassador Becks, is a faith-rooted humanitarian leader, global peace ambassador, apostolic minister, educator, and advocate for women’s and youth empowerment. With more than 25 years of service in ministry, global missions, chaplaincy, leadership development, and community outreach, she has dedicated her life to empowering people, strengthening communities, and building pathways of hope, dignity, and purpose.
As the Founder of Life Empowerment International, Dr. Becks leads with a vision to support women, youth, families, and underserved communities through faith-based empowerment, leadership training, hunger relief, peacebuilding, and community restoration. Her work reflects a deep belief that sustainable transformation begins when individuals are equipped spiritually, socially, and practically to rise into their purpose and contribute to the wellbeing of their communities.
Dr. Becks’ leadership combines spiritual conviction with humanitarian action. Her background in chaplaincy has taken her into hospitals, correctional settings, community crisis environments, international missions, and leadership forums, where she has provided counsel, encouragement, and compassionate support to people facing difficult circumstances. Her training and association with the Latin, African, and American Chaplaincy further strengthened her commitment to crisis response, healing, and service in moments of urgent human need.
A passionate advocate for women and young people, Dr. Becks has worked across communities and nations to mentor emerging leaders, promote identity and purpose, and encourage faith-centered leadership rooted in integrity, service, and responsibility. Through LEI, she continues to advance programs that connect personal empowerment with practical community impact, especially for those who have experienced exclusion, instability, poverty, or limited access to opportunity.
Her academic and professional preparation reflects her broad calling. Dr. Becks holds doctorates in Theology and Christian Leadership Education from Nation School of Theology in Delaware. She earned her undergraduate degree in History and Political Science from Virginia Union University and completed graduate studies in Public Administration with a focus on Nonprofit Management at Virginia Commonwealth University. She is also a certified Implementation Specialist and has completed diplomatic protocol and global peace practitioner training through the Institute of Public Policy and Diplomacy Research.
Dr. Becks has served as a speaker, presenter, and panelist at national and international forums focused on leadership, economic empowerment, women’s advancement, youth development, peace, culture, and sustainable development. Her engagements have included in Qatar, Peru, Nigeria, Liberia, Dominican Republic, Kenya, Mexico, Bolivia, and the United Nations, where she has contributed to conversations on faith, diplomacy, humanitarian service, and community transformation.
Her service has been recognized through several honors and awards, including humanitarian service recognition, global leadership awards, diplomatic recognitions, and honors for women’s leadership, volunteerism, and community empowerment.
Dr. Becks is dedicated to the empowerment of individuals for the development of a positive state of well-being; resulting in global transgenerational success and sustainability. At the heart of Dr. Becks’ work is a simple but powerful conviction: people and communities can be restored when faith, leadership, compassion, and practical support work together.
