A Women-Led Grassroots Movement for Girls’ and Women’s Empowerment

LEI is a nonpolitical, non-discriminatory, and faith-inspired nonprofit organization committed to advancing girls’ and women’s empowerment in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals. Our work supports quality education, gender equality, socioeconomic resilience, peacebuilding, interfaith understanding, and partnerships for sustainable impact. Guided by compassion, dignity, service, unity, and peace, LEI serves people across backgrounds, cultures, and beliefs while building pathways for leadership, opportunity, and lasting community transformation.

LEI was founded with a clear purpose: to help girls and women rise with confidence, lead with dignity, and contribute to stronger families, peaceful communities, and sustainable change. Our work begins at the community level and extends across borders through volunteers, ambassadors, Global Circles, and institutional partnerships.

We believe that when girls and women are supported, trained, connected, and given space to lead, the impact reaches far beyond one individual. It strengthens homes, builds community resilience, expands opportunity, and creates a foundation for lasting transformation.

LEI is a nonpolitical, non-discriminatory, and faith-inspired organization. Our work is guided by compassion, dignity, service, education, unity, and peace, while remaining open and inclusive to people of all backgrounds, cultures, and beliefs.

We are not a general charity trying to do everything. LEI is focused on building structured empowerment pathways for girls and women, especially those facing barriers to education, leadership, voice, confidence, safety, opportunity, and participation in public and digital spaces.

Our approach is practical and human-centered. We combine training, mentoring, peacebuilding, volunteer engagement, and global connection to help girls and women grow as confident leaders in their own lives and communities.

What Makes LEI Different

LEI’s strength is its grassroots energy combined with a global vision.

Through the LEI Global Peace Initiative, LEI Global Circles, volunteer network, ambassador support, and bi-monthly newsletter, LEI connects people across countries around shared learning, leadership, peace, and service.

Our Reach

LEI is growing as a movement of committed people, partners, and community leaders working together for empowerment and peace.

To date, LEI has reached more than 5000 individuals through trainings, events, and community engagement; mobilized 30 motivated volunteers; and built a support network of 15 LEI Ambassadors and professional experts who contribute their knowledge, leadership, and networks to advance LEI’s mission.

Through online country-based Global Circles and global partnerships, LEI continues to expand its reach in the United States and internationally, with a special focus on developing countries and underserved communities.

Our Commitment

By 2035, LEI’s official goal is to empower one million individuals through direct programs, partnerships, leadership development, peacebuilding, and community-based engagement.

We are building a future where girls and women are not only supported, but prepared to lead; where communities are not only served, but strengthened; and where peace, dignity, and opportunity become shared responsibilities.
